Which is why it’s good that someone else was hired to read THE BUTCHER!
Don’t you love audio books? I do. There’s nothing like being on a really long drive and listening to a really good story. The right narrator can make or break a book, I think.
In my case, I think they picked the right narrator for THE BUTCHER. You can listen to a quick audio sample here:

Sounds awesome — and atmospheric! Audio book narration is a special artform, and I appreciate the heck out of those who can pull it off just right. Sounds like you have yourself a good one here.
Alas, I'll be reading this the old fashioned way. I have a tendency to put all forms of audio-only entertainment playing around me into the back cluttered recesses of my mind when I'm going about my daily business. Many an audio book has had to be rewound and listened to over and over again before I finally learned my lesson.
He has a good voice for your genre. I know I could never read my own books.
I am not a fan of audio books myself at this point, but I have to say your sounded great!
Oh you are right–Dan sounds fantastic. When I had a job that involved lots of road work, I finished lots of audio books. The narrator can definitely make or break a book.
OMG, I could never read my own books out loud for anyone else to hear. :shudder: I'm so glad you have someone awesome to read yours, Jennifer.
That's awesome! And sometimes the gender of the author just isn't right for the tone of a book.
It sounded good to my ears. I had some book that were read my Mr. Monotonous. Not so good.
